Welcome and thank you for considering the Journal of Anesthesia and Perioperative Medicine (JAPM) to submit your work. JAPM is dedicated to bring clinical anesthesiologists the best research and key information in all fields of anesthesiology on the basis of scientific accuracy, novelty, and importance, and to present the information in an understandable and clinically useful format.

JAPM is an open-access journal, published by Evidence Based Communications (EBC). All the articles and works published in JAPM are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License, which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium or format for any lawful purpose.To view a copy of this license, visit http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/.

The journal publishes a range of article types that encompass all aspects of perioperative, critical care, and pain medicine. All articles must be submitted online via the JAPM Online Submission System.

JAPM is published bimonthly in both print and online versions, most articles will be published online first on its website at www.japmnet.com, before they appear in a regular issue of the journal. 

There are no submission fees, no publication or author fees for at least the first four volumes of JAPM, and after publication, all the online articles are freely available to all.

When research articles, systematic reviews of randomised trials and other articles are of exceptional clinical importance and urgency, or where there is a public policy reason for urgent publication, we can offer full online fast-track publication within 20 days of receipt. Please explain clearly in your cover letter why you are seeking fast-track publication.
