Journal of Anesthesia and Perioperative Medicine (JAPM) is an international peer-reviewed open-access journal dedicated to improve the quality of care and outcomes of patients by publishing original research articles, clinical cases, review articles and perspectives relevant to research in and the practice of perioperative, critical care, and pain medicine. JAPM will be one of the most widely read, cited, and influential peer-reviewed journals for clinical anesthesiologists.

Aims and scope

JAPM is dedicated to bring clinical anesthesiologists the best research and key information in all fields of anesthesiology on the basis of scientific accuracy, novelty, and importance, and to present the information in an understandable and clinically useful format. While the journal is sponsored by West China Hospital of Sichuan University and Xuanwu Hospital of Capital Medical University, it welcomes submissions from contributors and researchers of all specialties broadly related to anesthesiology worldwide.

About the Co-Editors-in-Chief

Professor Jin Liu and Professor Tian-Long Wang are the Co-Editors-in-Chief of JAPM. Professor Jin Liu is the head of the Department of Anesthesiology,West China Hospital of Sichuan University. Professor Tian-Long Wang is the head of the Department of Anesthesiology, Xuan Wu Hospital of Capital Medical University. Professor Tian-Long Wang will be the on duty Co-Editor-in-Chief for the evennumbered issues of JAPM, and Professor Jin Liu will be the on duty Co-Editor-in-Chief for the odd-numbered issues of JAPM.

The journal publishes a range of article types that encompass all aspects of perioperative, critical care, and pain medicine: Original Articles, Systematic Review and Meta-analysis, Clinical Cases, Review Articles, Perspectives, Editorials, Correspondence.
